Nobody Expected Kim Kardashian To Post These Photos Showing Her Skin With No Makeup
Although Kim Kardashian, 38, has been in the spotlight for decades, she has been fighting a silent fight for years now that not everyone knows about. While it is well-documented that Kim Kardashian struggles with pregnancy, another issue has fans shocked when she came forward to reveal her battle against it. Now Kim Kardashian has shared a social media post about her constant battle against psoriasis over the last eight years.
While on her television show, Kardashian spoke about her battle with psoriasis. However, Kardashian came forward to speak about the battle with the autoimmune condition and shared on her sister Kourtney’s website via a personal essay.
Although Kim Kardashian first experienced psoriasis during her twenties, it came back much more strongly in her thirties. While she has all the money in the world to throw at the condition, she has yet failed to get it under control. However, this year she suffered from more intense psoriasis flare-ups than ever before although she does not say whether it has to do with the stress of her husband Kayne West and his close relationship with the president.
“Earlier this year is when it got extremely bad. It covered my whole face and a majority of my entire body,” Kardashian admitted.
Although Kardashian wrote a long essay, she tried to give readers the complete history of her battle with psoriasis.
“Today I’m sharing with Poosh my journey with the autoimmune conditions psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, including what’s worked for me and how I’ve adjusted my life since being diagnosed,” she wrote.
In her essay, Kardashian also revealed how her mother, Kris Jenner, also suffers from the condition. However, Kris was able to beat it with cancer-causing U.V. rays from tanning beds while Kim Kardashian was not so lucky.
“It’s been 13 years since I experienced my first psoriasis flare-up… I am the only child my mom passed down her autoimmune issue to. Lucky me, lol.”
She added, “When I was twenty-five, I had my first psoriasis flare-up. I got a common cold, and since psoriasis is an autoimmune condition, this triggered it. It was all over my stomach and legs. Luckily, in my apartment complex at the time, my neighbor was a dermatologist.”
As it turned out, Kardashian showed her neighbor her skin, and he told her to meet him in his office.
“He would give me a shot of cortisone and then hopefully it would go away (since it was my first big outbreak). I did this, and my psoriasis completely went away for about five years.”
But when it came back in her early thirties, it took over Kardashian’s life.
She said that the only cure she has found is pregnancy. But since pregnancy is hard on her body, she can’t use that treatment.
Back in 2016, she said, “Since I was first diagnosed with psoriasis in 2010, I’ve been pretty open about my struggles with it.”
She added, “After this many years, I’ve really learned to live with it.”
